HRS 2018-22 Honda Accord Black Chrome Moldings Delete Kit

Simply remove the 3M double sided tape and install on top of your existing chrome. Give your car a stylish look

Material: Plastic

Color: Gloss Black (you must remove the protective film from each piece to expose the gloss black underneath). 

BOXED CONTENT:

  • 6 Piece molding trims

Intermediate experience required to install these. May require shaving around the edges for perfect fitting. 

We recommend watching the installation video below before installing this kit. It is also strongly recommended that you test fit all pieces of the kit before removing the backer from the adhesive tape.

Tip: Please make sure to properly clean the vehicle chrome using soap and water, then apply rubbing alcohol to the chrome surface to properly and completely remove anything that might keep the adhesive from sticking. We highly recommend using an adhesion promoter on the OEM chrome surface and a heat gun to heat the adhesive so that it sticks to the chrome surface more securely. You can also use an adhesive glue on the back of the pieces to help them stick better. The adhesive tape may take up to 24-48 hours to fully cure and be secure. 

Please Note: Improper installation is not covered under any warranty and will be considered as user error.

Product may fade or discolor with time due to exposure to extreme temperatures or harsh cleaning chemicals. These issues will not be covered under the warranty.

Easy to install

It’s easy to install but as I opened it I thought it would have looked better, seem like they had reused it before but it doesn’t look new to me

It seems you may not have removed the protective film from the kit. With the film on, the kit may appear scratched as the film layer is very thin. Once removed, you will see the glossy black product underneath. If you encounter any other issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

The glue on the tape doesn’t last long. There has to be another solution

We apologize for the inconvenience. According to the item description:

'Tip: Please ensure the vehicle’s chrome surface is thoroughly cleaned with soap and water, followed by rubbing alcohol to remove any residues that could prevent the adhesive from sticking. We strongly recommend using an adhesion promoter on the OEM chrome surface and a heat gun to warm the adhesive for a more secure bond. Additionally, you can apply adhesive glue to the back of the pieces to enhance adhesion. Please note that the adhesive tape may take 24-48 hours to fully cure and secure.'

If you still have the piece, you might try re-installing it. Another option is to use 3M Emblem Adhesive for a stronger bond.

Looks great but unfortunately moves around when the temperature changes. It warmed up outside, now when I open my door it catches the piece behind it on the rear door and pops it off. Happened on both sides.

Legit product. Way better than a basic black vinyl tape. Would definitely recommend this to others. Clean install and sticks very well once applied.

Crome delete

I have been super happy with all the other products I have ordered from highrev and for the most part these are no different. There is one huge issue I can see with these though. The amount of expansion and contraction with heat in the sun. Quite literally these things will grow an 1/8 of an inch on a hot day in the sun. I installed them on a cooler 70 degree day and got everything lined up perfectly. Then noticed on a 95 degree day the drivers part was catching on the passenger door. Went back out later that night when it cooled down and everything was perfect again. Problem is if you sand them to make them fit when it's hot they will be to short on a cool day. Honestly have never seen plastic that expands and contracts this much in the sun

I love the way it looks on my car. It gives it that glossy black nice look. It is very easy to install, pretty expensive though. I always hated that chrome piece, but now it’s gone.

Easy Install

Easy install. It literally took just a few moments to place this product onto the chrome areas above the driver and passenger side(s) windows. After peeling off the protective plastic from the black chrome delete overlay, it revealed a gloss black shine that perfectly matched the gloss black pillars between the front and back windows of my Accord. Very satisfied with this product.
